In talking with Patty Craig at the award presentations at = the Sea Breeze (btw, Shrimpy was there when we first arrived at 4:45), she = thought that the furthest north report in Calvert was at Calvert Cliffs = State Park. According to the following URL, this is marginally further = north. http://www.mapblast.com/mblast/mAdv.mb?CT=3D38.402267%3A-76.502007%3A100000= &IC=3D38.411473%3A-76.53158%3A660%3A%3A38.401949%3A-76.426655%3A5%3ACalvert= +Cliffs+SP%3A&loc=3Dus&subm=3Dmsize&lv=3D5&MA=3D2&GAD1=3D&GAD2=3D10545+Mack= all+Rd&GAD3=3DSaint+Leonard%2C+MD++20685-2433&icindex=3D1&icnum=3D660&iclab= el=3DLloyd+Bowen+Rd.&W=3D640&H=3D480&DU=3DMI&MAP.x=3D255&MAP.y=3D210 I missed the ones reported last year, by Tom Harten and Marshall Iliff, = near Cove Point, so this was a coup for me as a county lifer. The habitat = at the end of Lloyd Bowen Rd. is perfect with a predominance of Loblolly = Pines which seem to be the preferred habitat at Pt. Lookout SP in St. = Mary's. So, if you need BHNU for your Calvert list, give this location a = whirl! To get there from Prince Frederick, take Rt. 4 south to Parran Rd. Turn = right onto Parran then left at the stop sign onto Mackall Rd. Turn right = at the next road which is Lloyd Bowen Rd. and drive to the end. Good Birding!
