MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Gail, and other Crane Seekers - The Tarbutton Mill Road Sandhill Crane seems to be gone. No one has reported seeing it since our first severe snow storm on Jan 17th, which was accompanied by two days of high winds. I have checked for it occasionally, with no luck. On one of my visits in late January, a family member of the property owner happened by, and stated that family members also had not seen the bird since Jan 17th. It was definitely present in year 2000, prior to Jan 17th - I saw it, as did several others. Nice while it lasted - I intend to check for it occasionally, especially later this week, for the warm breezes may have opened up lots more water on that pond, and will certainly report it if I see it again.
