Yesterday morning an adult Red-tailed Hawk flew by to within about two blocks north of my office window, heading east. A coworker spotted the bird, though I had been alerted by the behavior of the pigeons. Yesterday afternoon a Cooper's Hawk (a male, by the size) was hunting for pigeons within a city-block of my window. This morning I saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk chase a starling out of sight. Later it or another sallied tantalizingly in to view a couple of times but then disappeared behind my building line of sight, southward (I face north).
