Had the perfect Valentine's Day gift last evening--an adult Black-headed Gull off Cedar Point in a loose flock of maybe 2 dozen Bonaparte's Gulls. Kyle Rambo was able to make it out in time to see the bird as well last evening before dusk. Despite efforts this morning by Tyler Bell, Jane Kostenko, Patty Craig, and Kyle Rambo, and I, the BHGU has not been relocated...yet. Today, there have been as many as 1200 Bonaparte's Gulls along the river and the groups are often on the water. The cold, gusty wind off the river is causing rough water and "uncomfortable" viewing conditions. :-) There is hope that the bird is still here. Several of us will be back out late this afternoon to look for the BHGU again (and who knows what else). -Greg Miller Hollywood, MD __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
