Although several of us checked several spots today, none of us turned up the adult Black-headed Gull at Pax River Naval Air Station today. There were as many as 1200 Bonaparte's Gulls along the river today and several hundred scattered out into the Bay this evening. There is also a huge influx of Horned Grebes at Pt Lookout...this can only be good! :-) Time to be looking for Red-necked and Eared Grebes... All three scoter species were present at the point this evening, too. Tonight I did find a consolation prize--3 Purple Sandpipers at Cedar Point at the Naval Air Station. Kyle Rambo and Patty Craig were able to pick up these birds also, before daylight gave way to darkness. -Greg Miller Hollywood, MD __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
