I live outside of Waldorf, Charles Co., MD. The event started for me at about 6 am and lasted until 6:30 am. I got the whole show, calls, song and display. Really a treat. I forgot I had a cold for a short time. Find a wet hardwood area on a warm late winter day (dusk or dawn), and you are likely to hear or see the same event - horny Woodcock males trying to attact a female woodcock. Regards.
