We hit the following sites yesterday: Ocean City Wal-Mart sparrows, OC inlet, various and sundry ocean and bay spots in OC, West OC pond, (said in a whisper - 2 ponds in Delaware), Deal Island. Goodies: Wal-Mart: 1 Clay-Colored! Life Bird! Great look, after about 40 minutes of trying 1 Sharp-tailed Sparrow, which I beleive to have been Saltmarsh - not too familiar with these 2 guys. Enough Song and Swamp to require some sort of repellent. Had to swat them off me. Field, White-throated, Junco. Did I mention Song and Swamp? OC Inlet: 4 Harlequin Drakes (no hens?) pair Oldsquaw 20+ Bonapartes gulls, but nothing with them. Peregrine Falcon was on the 2nd water tower north of the inlet. Deale Island: *at least* 4 Rough-legged, both phases *at least* 6 Short-eared Owls. GREAT! no egrets or Tri-coloreds. Good bye and good night, Charlie ===== **************************************** Charlie Muise, Naturalist Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary Maryland, USA "The English country gentleman galloping after a fox - the unspeakable in full pursuit of the uneatable" (Oscar Wilde) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
