We spent the morning searching for Snow Buntings and Longspurs, but only could find Horned Larks. We were rewarded however by 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers near Bradenbaugh. At Conowingo, diligent searching of the very few gulls present produced 1 Lesser Black-backed(1st winter) and 1 Thayer's Gull(1st winter). Further down the Susquehanna at Rock Run we found 5 Redhead mixed in with the Ring-necks and Scaup. From Swan Harbor Farms we were able to view a small flock of Canvasback in the bay. At Perryman we were treated to 3 Wood Ducks, 8 Am. Wigeon, Gadwall, Ring-necks and Lesser Scaup. A walk in the fields produced many Tree Sparrows.
