Their primary purpose is education, so they have a lot of captive birds. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There is a Marsh Trail around a pond where we (Bobby Hughes) saw a group of 4 Fox Sparrows but not much other than Yellow -rumped Warblers. There is a pair of captive Trumpeter Swans in the Visitors Center pond (great for studied looks) and we were told that there are Trumpeters on the Bay nearby. We looked where we were told they might be-we saw Mute and Tundra and a few very distant swans but could not ID them for sure. The Center has an admission fee of $3 ($2 for seniors and children) but the fee is waived as a courtesy for MOS members, information they volunteered as I was about to pay.
