Walking around the lake the waterfowl is increasing; A dozen or so LESSER SCAUP, CANVASBACK, RUDDYS, RING-NECKS, BUFFLEHEAD showed little change in species but numbers are up! A KINGFISHER, two flying GREAT BLUE HERONS, KILLDEER calling and courting on the island were wonderful to see. The weedy patch behind the chain link fence hosted a lovely group of sparrows. AMERICAN TREE (teedle notes galore) FIELD, SONG and WHITE-THROATS made for a great little group. 4 MYRTLE WARBLERS were tantalizing snippets of future goodies.
