I went birding at the Wildfowl Trust of North America's Horsehead Wetland Sanctuary on Monday and have made it a regular birding stop for years. Yes it is an educational facility with a captive waterfowl display, but it is more than just that. Many of the birds in their exhibit ponds come in on their own. If you leave the area around the pens, you will see lots of birds, you just have to look for them. From blinds and the trails we observed wild: Pintails, Scaup, Gadwall, Wigeon, Ruddy Duck, Wood Ducks, Canvasbacks, Eagles, Harriers, Coppers Hawk and a variety of song birds. It appears you missed a lot there. I hope you will go back some time and take advantage of WONDERFUL BIRDING spot. Naturally, Mike Callahan On Wed, 23 Feb 2000 11:03:20 -0500 "Joseph J.
