MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Howdy All, As many of you have noticed, the signs of Spring quickly approaching are definitely apparent. While traveling to work yesterday I saw several large flocks of Canada Geese heading north. I also observed a Five lined skink running thru the leaf litter in Nanjemoy. The past two week Bluebirds have been checking out boxes and I saw a White-breasted Nuthatch exit form a nesting box. Great Blue Herons are sitting above nests in Port Tobacco, Red-shouldred and Red-tailed Hawks are calling and are being seen sitting together through out the area. Also saw what appeared to be a Little Brown Bat flying over MD 197 in Bowie last night. Has anyone seen large flocks of Tundra Swans heading north yet? Hope your weekend birding is great.
