Try calling the ABA Sales place (George Jett has the phone number). Not only did I add them to my life list but thrilled at seeing this magnificent bird and hearing the story of its return from near extinction. There are now 412 Whooping Cranes in the world up from a low of 12. Had a chance to hear George Archebald tell of his organization and world-wide efforts regarding cranes. > What I really want to do is thank those of you who answered my questions regarding traveling with scope and tripod. The tripod, a Bogen 3211, served as a carry-on and fit in the above seat compartment. I hedged a bit on the scope leaving my larger one home and taking a smaller one purchased as a travel scope to be packed in my suitcase. It was a B&L Elite 15-45 x 60 PC. I found it to be excellent, meeting all of my birding needs. I met a woman from Calif. who also bought a smaller scope for travel. It was a Kiowa 60mm. She was very pleased with it. > The tripod traveled in a homemade bag that was a bit awkward to carry.
