Or, for that matter, do >they have a schedule? Yes, they have a schedule and it is not the greatest. The park is only open on weekends from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Starting Memorial Day it is open 7 days a week but not until 9 AM -- not the best time for birding. That is one reason I am a volunteer there. It allows me the privilege of entering during off hours. I'd like to see them relax these rules to allow walk-ins but it doesn't look like that is going to happen any time soon. This is the policy at all of the County Parks, whereas the state park, Calvert Cliffs is open from dawn to dusk -- much better. I went in this afternoon and found only four Bonaparte's Gulls. It was cold, windy and the water very choppy. Then it started to rain and I left. There were 23 Sanderlings on the beach, up from 8 on Monday. ////// | || aripley@nestbox.com | 0 || http://www.nestbox.com | || || ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
