No sooner did I drive into the parking lot, when I saw one flying towards the old Osprey nest with what looked like a small bird in its talons. When it got to the nest, there was much vocalization although I didn't see the second bird as I was rushing to get out of the car and grab my camera. The bird flew off of the nest without the prey, so I am assuming it delivered it to a sitting female. It flew not far from the nest and perched on one of the steel girders under the bridge and then flew off to a more distant perch. I was unable to get photos due to the dark sky and rain that was now falling steadily, so I have another excuse to return. ////// Arlene Ripley | || Calvert County, MD | 0 || aripley@nestbox.com | || http://www.nestbox.com || ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
