So, I opened up the curtains by the kitchen table while they were having lunch. As if on cue, a large red-shouldered hawk dropped onto a tree limb outside of the window. I pointed out the bird to the kids. Just then another shoulder, a little smaller, landed on top of the first one and began copulating. "Wow," I said, "two hawks." My husband commented "Spring is in the air."
