ID help please A flock of about 300 Swans just (8:30am) flew over JHUAPL in Howard County. They were fairly low and trying to get organized as if they just took off. They were large and all white, and the honking (quite distant by the time a coworker dragged me to the window) was similar to the Snow goose; however, I couldn't make out any black on the wings. Unfortunately, I don't have the fortuity of having binoculars around my neck and guide book in my pocket at work. I don't see swans often enough to be familiar with the calls, but I am pretty sure they were not Snow Geese. Which swan was this?
