Before that I make it a habit to bird somewhere in DC. Yesterday morning (3/9) it was in Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens and in adjacent Kenilowrth Park. Not much was moving but I did get my first E. PHOEBE of 2000 for D.C. and my first mosquito in the ear for anywhere! Ducks were almost completely absent -- just 2 Am. BLACK - despite it being high tide. There were more NORTHERN FLICKERS and BLUE JAYS than recently. On the other hand, RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, which have been fairly regular over the winter, were gone yesterday. Earlier this week, I meant to but omitted to post the following information, also for DC: On March 6, I flushed 3 COMMON SNIPE from a wet field in Anacostia Park. These were my first snipe ever in DC. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo!
