I had about 30 species. Birds of note: 62 Canada Geese - 60 migrants, 2 resident birds. The 60 were high in the sky and the 2 were at roof top level but it was interesting to hear them vocalize to each other as the 60 flew north and the 2 flew south. 2 flyover Mallards 1 Red-shoulder Hawk 1 Cooper's Hawk 16 Ring-billed Gull and one stand out adult Herring Gull 1 Male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker coming to the peanut tree 2 Hairy Woodpeckers 6 Downy Woodpeckers 4 Red-bellied Woodpeckers 4 White-breasted Nuthatch 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch still around 6 Displaying Bluebirds Up to 200 invading American Robins 8 Cedar Waxwings 12 Yellow-rumped Myrtle Warblers moving through 2 Fox Sparrows scratching in the undergrowth 12 White-throated Sparrows 25 Juncos singing, calling, conversing Lots of Cowbirds and Common Grackles flying overhead (~300). 8 Cowbirds came in to feed. The deer out numbered the cowbirds today. Also, tonight the Woodcock were displaying again. This time I got to see one bird up in the air, flying his route. Always a treat. Good birding.
