The following was received from my cousin in Arizona. If anyone has any suggestions as to whether it is or is not a bird call, please let me know. I suggested to Bob that maybe it was a unique Northern Mockingbird who is enamored with telephone ringing! Sam Freiberg Chevy Chase, MD Sam I need your expertise on a bird problem. For about a month or so we have been hearing what sounds like my neighbors phone ringing. It starts about the same time every morning, about 7am. and continues for about 30 to 60 minutes. No one answers the "phone" and finally it stops. The other day I was talking to a neighbor and the subject came up. He said it is not his phone, but sounds like some bird. Have you ever heard of this before???? If so, what kind of bird is this? I'm just curious, and of course can't do anything about it. It really is strange though. I would appreciate a reply when you're able. Stay well!!!
