In the morning the birds were best observed from Cox Point Park, due to the light, but later excellent views of the birds flying and one on the water were had from behind the Enroy (?)gas station before one crosses the bridge. Turn right just before the station, take a quick left and drive down to the water where you can park and scan the river. We also went into Back River WWT plant itself and although there were about 400 Boneys on the clarifiers, there were no other unusual gulls. At any one time over 80% of the birds were on the water and the choppiness made it hard to ID the more distant birds -- who knows, there could well be more than two Littles about! Btw, we did call this into the Voice about 10:30 am but it was not included in today's recording. Spread the word to folks who missed the Littles at Calvert Cliffs (like we did). Cheers, Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
