Two owls were seen as I approached and left my site. I also heard several owls vocalizing as I closed my nets for the night. The last two netting attempts yielded several owls banded last Fall and few new owls. Spring migration of Sawwhets is relatively unstudied in this region of the U.S. but it is expected that the peak is upon us. Several stations in Pennsylvania have also reported some Sawwhet movement.
