I am shocked and dismayed on the lack of comment about
the huge article in Thursday's (March 16) Washington Post
Style section on the starling and "Starling Day", by Post
writer John Pancake!  Sure, you may not like them, but
it was a very interesting article.
   And OK, I actually do like starlings, as well as all
the other "trash birds".  When there are no other birds
to watch, I can always enjoy watching a pigeon or a
House Sparrow!
   Check out the article, and consider celebrating
"Starling Day" every March 16th!
