In my Ellicott city yard, a CHIPPING SPARROW ensconced himself on the platform feeder- chowing down on millet. The tree ID walk at David Force was very well attended and we all learned tricks and tips on how to tell those trees apart-even down to tasting some! We did get serenaded by a FOX SPARROW. BROWN CREEPER was another goodie. A GOLDEN-CROWN KINGLET was haging out with a chickadee flock- that included our little white tailed guy. At Centennial this morning a TREE SWALLOW was first for the county. A dozen YELLOW-RUMPS showed a slight increase. A GREAT-BLACK BACK GULL flyover was unusual for the park. A couple SWAMP SPARROWS were probably new arrivals. Bonnie Ott p.s. Heard Mike McClure had a GREAT EGRET out in western Howard county. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
