I asked the students to be very quiet, and told them he would probably fly off immediately. So, of course, the egret sat and watched until the whole group of 18 got within a few yards! Had Rusty Blackbirds at Cypress Swamp on Saturday, during an SMAS field trip. The Peregrine Falcon at Solomons was voted best bird, however. At North Beach we saw a dunlin among the killdeer, and a nice flock of green-winged teal. On the bay side, besides scaup and bufflehead, there was one American Wigeon. (Saw osprey everywhere.) AFTER the field trip was over I saw two Gannets fly by south beach, Scientists' Cliffs, fairly close in. sue hamilton ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
