(Highlights only) North Beach (Saturday): Gannets ( I think I left Gannett off of the Charles County list at list 5 at Cobb Island; 16 at North Beach was probably a low estimate). Hundreds of Scoters (Only Surf Scoters were Identifiable) Many Horned Grebes (40 or so ?) I saw the single Dunlin that Sue Hamilton mentioned Killdeer Scaup (lots of Lessers and 3 Greaters) American Coot American Kestrel Back River STP and Gunpowder Falls SP (Sunday): Pretty slow birding over all the best birds were ... Rusty Blackbird Hermit Thrush Bonaparte's Gull (Lots at Back River ... no Little Gull) also there were A lot of Robins a Swamp Sparrow 2 Song Sparrows 1 White-throated Sparrow Some Chickadees Titmice Red-bellied and Downy Woodpeckers A single Cormorant about 20 or 30 Canada Geese everything there was hunkered down I guess and pretty quiet.
