Jane, That's very interesting. Yesterday I noticed a completed Carolina Wren's nest in a box specially made for them at Flag Ponds Park, in Calvert County. I didn't have a ladder, so couldn't see inside the nest for eggs. However, on Saturday while rehabbing one of the county bluebird trails, I found several completed bluebird nests including one with three eggs, one with one egg. Whether these eggs will hatch after the cold nights we've been having is another question. Nevertheless, the birds seem to be laying earlier than usual this year. ////// Arlene Ripley | || Calvert County, MD | 0 || aripley@nestbox.com | || http://www.nestbox.com || ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
