I could see the chin strap. But even more encouraging was the presence o= f a common loon for bill and head comparison. The common loon bill was both thicker and darker. Its head had a more pronounced forehead. Since the = two loons were about a half mile apart, I could not compare the relative size= s. I wonder if this is the first Pacific loon for Quiet Waters. I understan= d they are in the process of compiling a list.
