Today I got to see 3 of them mobbing a Red-tailed Hawk pretty aggressively. Listening to all the rucous, I realized that this may be the first time I've ever noticed a group of only FICR mobing a raptor... sounded funny. I should mention that in an average ten-minute stop at the observation deck, which looks out on North Glebe Marsh and the portion of the Patuxent just north of Jug Bay, I usually see/hear anywhere from 0 to 100 crows, depending on time of day, tide, number of gulls, etc. The gulls are clearing out, and something approaching 95% of the gulls now here are Laughing, so I am noticing more crow activity than, say 3 weeks ago.
