Winds started coming from the south or southwest by midmorning after several days of rain or unfavorable winds and the hawks took advantage of the conditions. We had best day counts of the season for Sharp-shins, Cooper's Hawks, Osprey, Harriers, and Kestrels, and our first Goshawk this year. 3/23/00 TV 18 OS 2 SS 1 RT 1 Total 23 3/24/00 BV 6 TV 55 OS 8 NH 1 CH 2 RS 1 RT 1 TOTAL 74 3/25/00 BV 5 TV 240 OS 15 BE 1 NH 13 SS 33 CH 22 NG 1 RS 10 RT 18 AK 56 Unid.
