MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Howdy All! Yesterday, Mar 25, I had a female Purple Martin fly over my yard (while I was out picking up sticks from hurricane Floyd--yeah, I'm a little behind on the yard work). Later in the day, I saw 6 more Purple Martins off Smith Nursery Rd. It was a good day for the yard list with a total of 52 species tallied (a new world record! ). Spring returns included Tree Swallows, Osprey, Eastern Phoebes, Catbird, and Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Numbers of diving ducks are down on the Patuxent River, but Common Loons (10) and Horned Grebes (28) are increasing. -Greg Miller Hollywood, MD __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
