As I drove into Patterson Park in Calvert County this morning (3/27) I wa=

greeted by the song of several Yellow-throated Warblers as well as =
Chipping and Field Sparrows and lingering Juncos. Bring on the rest of th=
e =
warblers!

This morning I awoke to the song of a Louisiana waterthrush in the back
yard, so I got out to the woods early, where chipping sparrows and pine
warblers sang, the hardy brown thrasher sang too, and, yes, a
yellow-throated warbler!  Another La waterthrush by the swamp and a phoeb=
e
back at the parking lot.  Unfortunately, cowbirds are also in the woods,
singing (?), and waiting....
