We need volunteers to participate in the 2000 Horseshoe Crab census this year. If you're interested in participating, please contact one of these people. * DE side of bay: Bill Hall, 302-645-4253 * NJ side of bay: Benjie Swan, 609-465-6552 * Specifically interested in Pickering, Kitts Hummock, and North Bowers beaches: Marian Pohlman, 302-653-6872 To register on-line: http://ael.er.usgs.gov/groups/stats/Limulus/ If you want to know more about the census before committing to volunteering, as well as census dates, please contact me off-list and I'll be glad to tell you more about it. Please note that many of the counts--conducted during the spring tide--will occur late at night this year so please consider an overnight stay in the area. You don't have to do all counts this season, just helping out at one or two, especially during the peak periods in mid-May, late-May, and early June will be enormously helpful. cheers, shireen ========================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ========================================================================= ========================== =================================================
