Highlites (for me) were: 6 Northern Shovelers along with the Ruddys, Ring-necked and Lesser Scaup = = at Ridgely Water Treatment Ponds. Several Lesser Scaup and 10 Ring-necked ducks at the Denton Water = Treatment Ponds. (looking at those first two locations on the itinerary I am beginning to = = understand why my wife doesn't join me on these outings) Winter Wren, Hermit Thrush and Yellow-throated Warbler at Adkins = Arboretum. Pine Warblers singing, Green-winged Teal & American Wigeon at Tuckahoe = St. Park. 5 Red-breasted Mergansers at Martinak St. Park. Wood Ducks at Tuckahoe, along rt. 16 and at Adkins. No. Harrier at Choptank Several groups of Greater Yellowlegs along Choptank Rd, with = Green-winged Teal, on water soaked farmlands. A Caspian Tern flying over at Choptank. (It was very accomodating & = also flew over Talbot & Dorchester Co. waters for a three-bagger. = (pretty early for a Caspian Tern) Singing Field, Song & Chipping Sparrows in many places, and Ospreys = building nests & flying around together in many spots.
