MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Well, the numbers of Double-crested cormorants is really peaking in Washington Co. on the Potomac River. This morning there were at least 300 loafing on the rocks just down river from Harper's Ferry. Also, the Great blue heron colony is beginning to work on their nest on the large island just down river from the Maryland route 340 bridge over the Potomac River. There appears to be a dozen or more nests in the tops of the trees on the far side of the island.
