Bittern on the Voice MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit The following report was on this week's Voice. > And still another AMERICAN BITTERN was reported in a > tree in the Aurora Hills neighborhood, about a mile west of > National Airport, Arlington Co, VA, also on Apr 1. > As I live in this neighborhood, I'm curious to know exactly where it was seen (and if it needs to go down in the books as a major miss for my yard list). If the person who saw this bird is also on MDOsprey, please let me know where you saw it. Two years ago I flushed an Am. Woodcock in my yard, which was equally astounding, given the urban nature of this neighborhood. Oh, and by the way, um, I haven't seen any more year birds in DC (had to put something in this message appropriate for MDOsprey).
