Date: Thu, 6 Apr 2000 07:56:17 -0400 Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Jim Felley Subject: Hains Point birds, 4/5 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Yesterday at lunch, the wind was up and the birds were sparse at Hains Point, but there was a diversity of migrants (or supposed migrants!) including Northern Flicker Barn Swallow Rough-winged Swallow (checking out the seawall on the Washington Channel side, for nesting sites I guess) Brown Thrasher Blue-winged Teal Bonaparte's Gull A couple of Caspian Terns in a flock of Ring-billed Gulls sitting on the north part of the golf course. Still a Lesser Scaup, a Pied-billed Grebe and plenty of Double-crested cormorants in the Washington Channel.
