This morning, the Barn Swallows are raising quite a ruckus here in Laurel (Howard County) and are swooping around in the wind. This is the first day that I've seen then back at my apartment complex this year. There's been a nesting colony here for the three years that I've lived here. I'm looking forward to watching their nesting progress as well as keeping an eye out for the defenders of the nests and babies as they dive and swoop at us people when we go outside in their territory.
