There were some SAVANNAHS with one little fellow that perched on a rail at the end of our walk. CHIPPING singing from the trees and a smattering of SONG SPARROWS- alas- no vesper. We did see a lovely BLUE-WING TEAL and a pair of WOODIES. 50 COMMON SNIPE flushed from the wet meadow. A single HORNED LARK and a singing MEADOWLARK were nice finds. A NORTHERN ROUGH WING perched for us and TREE skimmed ober the field. A single COMMON LOON was spotted (there were probably more but blue skies are tough!). Bonnie Ott Ellicott city p.s. I wouldn't travel any great distance to come on tomorrow's walk. North winds and cold will probably not make any changes in birds. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
