Brighton Dam, on the Montgomery County side of Triadelphia Reservoir, I found that a few (at least 6) CLIFF SWALLOWS had returned and were flying over and in front of the dam, along with at least one Northern Rough-winged Swallow. Also seen from here were Common Loons, Double-crested Cormorant, both vultures, a single adult Broad-winged Hawk, Red-tailed Hawks, Bonaparte's Gulls, Ring-billed Gulls, Herring Gulls, Caspian Terns (perhaps 8 birds), Chimney Swift, Barn Swallows, and a few Chipping Sparrows in the grassy areas near the dam. A walk along the fire road to view the Bald Eagles nest was fairly quiet but we did find another nice Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, a few more loons and Bonies, and a Pied-billed Grebe (not terribly common on the reservoir).
