I was lazy, and didn't get into the field until about noon, but still saw a lot. Got the p's down well: Parula, Pine, Palm, Prairie and yellow-rumPed warblers, as well as Yello-throated Warbler. Saw lots of nookie going on. Copulation list: Common Grackle, House Finch, Barn Swallow and Song Sparrow, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. And I didn't even have to look in any windows! Others: 3 Pectoral Sandpipers several Forster's Terns 2 Bonaparte's at Jug Bay, 4 at North Beach (one of the latter in alternate plumage) many Greater Yellowlegs 2+ Lesser Legs Barred Owl pair duetting at 4 pm - didn't try to see what THEY were up too... Singing sparrows: Chippy, Field, Song, WHite-throated, Towhee, Junco. Lots of other birds today, these are just the memorable ones.
