Turn left on Princeton and proceed six blocks to its end at Fordham. Pull around the corner onto Fordham and park. There is an empty lot along the edge of the woods. The edge can be very birdy in the morning. A path alongside the last house on Princeton goes down a slope and into the woods directly to the creek. A footpath parallels the creek. To the right a short distance is a spring-fed wetland that attracts lots of birds. Right now there are Towhees, White-throats, Chippies, Kinglets, etc. just as you enter the woods, so keep alert. In a few weeks there will be lots of warblers. Go left on the path to get to prime thrush habitat where the woods opens out with scattered undergrowth. We get all the thrushes on those slopes (in season). I hope you get to enjoy it.
