Highlights were: 2 Loons, presumably Common, flying north high overhead 3 Sharp-Shinned Hawks One Common Yellowthroat, by (two-noted) song At least 5 Hermit Thrushes. Also Mallard, Red-Bellied, Pileated, Flicker, Mourning Dove, TV, Common and Fish Crow, Robin, Chickadee, Titmouse, Carolina Wren, RC Kinglet, Wh-Thr. Sparrow, Junco, Cardinal. Also fresh Pleurotus ostrea found by Susse, good for two breakfasts. To echo Mike Bowen's observation in his 04/12 post: "For the life of me, I cannot see why DC would want to redo the road."
