I arrived to hear a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT singing and a pair of EASTERN KINGBIRDS twittering overhead. Around the dam end I observed one LOON and 3 CORMORANTS as CASPIAN TERNS flew back and forth over the water. A few BROAD WINGS were up early and SWALLOWS were swarming over the water. The wooded side of the lake was full of MYRTLES (50) and a few PALMS. GNATCATHERS and KINGLETS abounded. A couple BLUE-HEADED and WHITE-EYED VIREOS were busy vocalizing. The wildlife end sitll hosted the pair of BLUE-WING TEALS. A couple SOLITARY and GR. LEGS were busy feeding. No sign of the dunlin. At least 5 GREEN HERONS were there along with one GREAT BLUE.
