Highlights there were: 7 Prothonotary Warblers ~10 Red-eyed Vireos 2 Blue-wg Warblers 2 Yel-thrt Warblers 1 B&W Warbler 7 Prairie Warblers 1 Hooded Warbler (Bear Swamp) 1 Wild Turkey 4 Gr-cr Flycatchers 1 Yellow Warbler (another "close-out." Yeaah!) 1 Red-shouldered Hawk on the Worc side of Massey Crossing (Darn! It would have been another close-out if it crossed into Wico) Elsewhere: 1 Wild Turkey on Wye Mills Ln, Talbot Co 4/23 1 Wild Turkey on Beaver something Rd, Dorchester Co 4/24 2 La Waterthrushes on Skipton Creek, Talbot 4/23 1 " " in Bear Swamp, Wico, 4/24 Alas - none in Dorchester. (Need I explain why I say "Alas?" That's got to be a really tough county for that species with very little in the way of flowing, wooded streams.) Lots of Gr Yellowlegs in many places. No Ruff on or near Rt 557 in Caroline Co 4/23. Oh, I just heard my first House Wren in my back yard (4/26) a moment ago.
