Co. yard MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cha-ching another one for the MD accumulating list: Blackburnian Warbler (1) hopping around the leaves above my lawn. Seen after my own CHA-CHING: my first yard record Palm Warbler (Yellow variety). The Blackburnian was a breeding plumage adult male "Fire-Throat"; no speculation on the Palm's gender. The Yellow-crowned Night-heron situation here is sort of in limbo; I've been seeing ONE bird off and on at last year's nest above my neighbor's mailbox. Standing on or next to it, never sitting in it. Most of the time not there. Looks like a bird without a mate, unable to recruit one. Possibly "Junior", now a fourth-year bird, which hatched in the old nest above my house three years ago. Still awaiting my first spring Wood Thrush and the big push of migrants.
