Unfortunately I was accompanied all the way along the creek by the cacophony of several pairs of very annoyed Canada Geese with young. What a racket, all but obliterating the other bird song, or making it harder to listen, at any rate. New for the year were WHITE-EYE VIREO, EASTERN PEEWEE, BLACK-THROATED GREEN, YELLOW-THROATED and BLACK-WHITE WARBLERS, SPOTTED SANDPIPER, RED-HEADED WOODPECKER and NORTHERN ORIOLE. I must have spent 1/2 hr. on one spot of the trail, simply taking in all the sights and sounds of a very birdy area. YELLOW-RUMPS were everywhere, PARULA singing continuously. A nice outing.
