What to do, what to do? Work/goof-off, work/goof-off. Anyways, I enjoyed several very birdy hours in the forest. Excellent look at singing BLUE-HEADED VIREO***, hundreds of YELLOW RUMPS singing so loudly it was like being enveloped in a cloud of white noise!! Heard the kolwlp of a YELLOW BILLED CUCKOO***, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH moving through (2 ), also the following warblers: PINE,( many ) PARULA,(5) BLACK-THROATED GREEN ( 8), BLACK/WHITE ( 14 ), WORM EATING ( 3), PALM (2, eastern race ). There were also 8 female HOODED MERGS on the pond, one of the only times I have ever had waterfowl here. I consider the goof-off was the right decision to make!!
