LITTLE BLUE HERON this morning at Plum Tree in Dorsey hall-Ellicott city. It was still there at 1:00 along with a singing BALTIMORE ORIOLE. Jo Solem and I were scouting around the western half of the county and found some goodies. BOBOLINKS were chattering in the fields. CLIFF and BANK SWALLOWS were exciting to see. 3 WARBLING VIREOS, both species of ORIOLES and 2 dozen SAVANNAHS were singing like crazy. The skies held the delights though with a BALD EAGLE and a PEREGRINE FALCON (dove on a red-tail!). The most amazing and incredible sighting was a SANDHILL CRANE -flyover and heading northwest. A county lifer for both Jo and myself. Just goes to show that you NEVER know what you will see!
