I hope the ride wasn't too tiring. I should be in bed dreaming already, but am just back from the party- glad I went, but should have left a little earlier, and not sat near that bowl of M & M's- too much chocolate today for the one beer I drank at the party to counteract, and now the pulse is more rapid than it should be, and I am having trouble slowing down to go to sleep...So I will go ahead now and type in the species list (highlights), and get it sent out. I think it is more useful to include the highlights of the day, so that's what I'll do now for osprey, but will send you the complete list tomorrow or Monday. At first glance, it appears that you added r-b. merganser, osprey, lesser yellowlegs, solitary sandpiper, bon. gull, barred owl, hummingbird (got me there), blue-headed vireo, gr-crested flycatcher, fish crow, and swamp sparrow to your Allegany list (but check me on this, and too bad about the bobolink). Not ! bad.... Thank you for coming to visit- it was nice to see you of course, and fun as always to be with you. Thanks for dinner, etc., too (including flowers). It was a good day! I hope you rest well, get to enjoy the deck, get to enjoy at least some of tomorrow, and get the work done quickly and well. Hang in there! We will have fun at the eastern shore next weekend- and I will get you some more ideas on birds early in the week (not that you will have time to look at them...but when you get the chance). It will be fun to go to some new places, and I appreciate your help on this. Now we hope for good weather... I will leave you with an ancient Incan (?) saying: May your knee always be in the right place when it comes time for the driver to shift into fifth gear!
